We never think a crime will happen to us, until it actually does.  Unfortunately, bad things do happen so it is critical that you are prepared with the knowledge and skills needed for personal security and crime prevention. Sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, stalking and theft are serious problems in society as well as on our college and university campuses. Protective Reach will assist you in developing and implementing personal safety strategies and understanding the techniques you can apply to avoid becoming a criminal’s next easy target. We will help you live safer by being Aware and Prepared.  This course is ideal for anyone concerned about their personal security.

The course is especially beneficial for those working in home health care, realtors and students leaving for college or participating in exchange programs or mission trips. The training will incorporate classroom lectures, scenario based exercises and a culminating training event. This course is an excellent complement to our Travel Safety and Security Training.

Class Length - 4 to 4.5hrs, Cost $95.00. Class Size 6-20.  This is a hands-on course and requires comfortable clothing. This course serves to enhance your personal security and situational awareness at home, work, school or when traveling. 

  Additionally, participates ages 18 years or older may keep the defense spray and kubatan they utilized during the training.

Class Details

Personalized Pistol Marksmanship and Safety Training:

This Basic Pistol Marksmanship Course teaches the essential skills for pistols. It is intended for the beginning shooter who is unfamiliar with proper firearms techniques, or those with limited exposure who want to establish a solid foundation of shooting skills. Individuals will learn and refine their skills via numerous hands on drills, quickly gaining the required experience and confidence with their pistol.  

Class will consist of hands-on classroom instruction followed by live fire on the range. Class Length: 3.5hrs, Cost $195.00 + ammo cost if Protective Reach provides pistols and ammo or $175.00 if student provides pistol and ammo. Protective Reach will provide numerous make, model and caliber pistols for clients to train with along with their personal pistol if they own one.  Rounds Expended:  150+. Class size: 1-5. The small class sizes allow us to provide individualized and focused attention for each student. Students will be provided a firearm smart card and a seminar participation certificate. Fee includes training and range time.  You must be 21 years-of-age or older or accompanied by legal guardian to attend this course.

Eye & ear protection is required and will be available.  Please dress appropriately. We recommend long pants and wearing a high-necked shirt.  Hot brass can blister.  You must wear full-coverage shoes such as tennis shoes or hiking boots. (Flip-flops, sandals, and bare feet will not be allowed.)

Travel Safety and Security Training:  

This course is ideal for anyone traveling in or outside the United States on business, vacation, student exchange programs or mission trips. We will assess the impact of numerous variables unique to your specific activities and operations such as geopolitics, culture, terrain, communication, medical, transportation and crime. This course is an excellent complement to our Personal Security and Threat Mitigation course.
 
Class Length - 2.5hrs, Cost $75.00, Class Size 4-20. Individual, family or group classes are available. Bring a Smart Phone and/or camera if available. Safe Journey Packet includes detailed travel packet and a country specific briefing.

NRA Basic Pistol Course (National Rifle Association Course)

NRA Basic Pistol Instructor-Led Course (National Rifle Association Course): This course is for individuals desiring the basic knowledge, skills, & attitude necessary for owning, maintaining, & using a pistol safely for target shooting. We will conduct hands-on classroom instruction with various pistols to ensure you know how to safely load, cock, fire, de-cock, and unload the different weapon types.  We will review various stances to see what works best for you using the Fundamentals of Shooting. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; two handed standing positions; basic cleaning of the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. 

Class Length: 6-8 hours, Cost $175.00 if Protective Reach provides pistols and ammo or $150.00 if student provides pistol and ammo. Rounds Expended:  150+. Class size: 1-5. The small class sizes allow us to provide individualized and focused attention for each student. Class includes all action types. Course Materials, Completion Certificate & Range Fees..
